About us – latest update
The Colington Yacht Club is a boating club, established in 1988, independent of both the Colington Harbour Association and the Colington Yacht and Racquet Club.
It was initially formed as a club focusing on sailing. Providing members opportunities in regattas and providing sailing instructions to local youth.
Thru the years it has evolved to include social activities for sailboat owners, power boat owners and non-boat owners. We have several members who do not own boats but enjoy the social activities we provide.
These activities include:
- Annual Change of Watch dinners
- Annual year end dinners
- Poker runs (which are a favorite activity)
- Pavilion gatherings including picnics
We also arrange:
- The annual Blessing of the Fleet
- Canal cleanup
- Boat parades for July 4th, Labor Day, and Christmas
- Summer youth sailing camps
